Good morning! May has dawned full of sun, life and possibilities. As a new feature for my blog I am including a monthly reading. This month I will be using the Modern Spellcaster’s Tarot Deck. Below is our Tarot Draw for May 2020.
All of my posts contain affiliate links. If you click on a link and make a purchase I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This small commission keeps the website up and running and the author in wine, chocolate, and books – not necessarily in that order.
I am using one of my own spreads where I focus on not only what the month has to hold but what we, ourselves, may wish to work on. This includes working with the Higher Self through Inner/Soul Work – our first card in the left. The center card focuses on the Middle Self – Health and Home. The last card on the right is the Lower Self , where we focus on Shadow Work.
Monthly Focus May 2020 – Seven of Swords
The Seven of Swords is reminding us in that in order to succeed we first need to make a plan. Doing things in haste will not lead to success. It is only through thought and deliberate actions that we will garner the outcome we desire.
Inner Work – Five of Cups
Something or someone from our past has caused us considerable pain that we continue to dwell upon. It is time to let this pain go as it is hindering our forward progress. Allow yourself to feel this pain fully. Embrace it, acknowledge it, then let it go. The freedom you feel once this process is completed will be worth it.
Health and Home – Knight of Cups
Dreams of a better future, a new love interest, or a change of scenery dominate May 2020. You long for something different, something new and exciting. While this is all well and good, remember all the good there is in your current situation. Make a list as to why you wish something new and then compare it to a list of what you already have. You may be surprised at their similarities.
Shadow Work – King of Swords
The month of May is the time when our inner fires burn brightest. But sometimes those fires are fueled by anger and frustration. We need to get to the root cause of these feelings and root them out if they are causing us physical or emotional pain. While Anger that is justified is short-lived and can be healthy, prolonged Anger is just the opposite. Frustration turned inwards becomes Anger- which can cause dis-ease and isolation. Through meditation, journal writing and therapy (with a licensed professional), we can explore these shadows and bank the fires of destructive behavior.
I hope this tarot draw for May 2020 resonates with you. May this month bring you joy, happiness, and healing.
